Information about a cyberattack targeting Hydroscand Machine

At the end of October, Hydroscand identified and managed a cyberattack targeting a separate business unit, Hydroscand Machine. All systems were fully restored within 48 hours and our business and customers have not been affected.
We have found no evidence of data theft or exfiltration, and no personal information or other sensitive data has been compromised. As a precaution, we are conducting a more in-depth analysis and will contact any affected parties should new information arise.
Customers who do not have direct contact with Hydroscand Machine are not affected by this incident.
The matter has been reported to the police, and we are cooperating with both authorities and external cybersecurity experts to ensure that it is handled appropriately. Hydroscand is continuously working to strengthen our cyber security and to protect our systems and our customers’ information. We take this incident very seriously and will continue to improve our processes to prevent similar events in the future.
We are closely monitoring the situation and will update this information if new details emerge.
Update – December 4, 2025
As part of our continued in-depth analysis following the cyberattack on Hydroscand Machine, we have identified that a limited amount of personal data was included in the files copied by the attacker. The data relates to fewer than 100 individuals, all connected to Hydroscand Machine.ÂWe have contacted, or will contact, all individuals whose information may have been affected and are supporting them with relevant guidance. The incident remains contained to Hydroscand Machine, and there continues to be no impact on other Hydroscand business units, IT systems, or customers.
We continue to work closely with external cybersecurity experts and the authorities to further review the incident and ensure that all necessary measures are taken.
