Hydroscand’s Sustainability Report 2024 is now published and available online. The report outlines the Group’s continued progress in integrating sustainability across all operations — from reducing emissions and strengthening supplier partnerships to creating inclusive workplaces and investing in energy efficiency.

Throughout 2024, Hydroscand took significant steps to align with the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and completed a Double Materiality Assessment to refine its sustainability priorities and accelerate meaningful action. The company also earned a Silver Medal from EcoVadis, placing Hydroscand among the top 15% of rated companies worldwide for sustainability performance.

Key highlights from the 2024 report include:

  • Climate impact and emission reductions: Hydroscand’s total greenhouse gas emissions amounted to 41,181 tCO₂e, with 90% in Scope 3. The data will serve as the baseline for the Group’s upcoming Science Based Targets (SBTs) in 2025.

  • Sustainable operations: The new Group head office in Älvsjö, Sweden, has achieved BREEAM certification, featuring 456 solar panels, geothermal heating, and extensive reuse of office furniture.

  • Circular resource management: A new Waste Policy was launched, supported by expanded data collection and initiatives to “close the life cycle loop” throughout product development.

  • People and culture: The Great Place to Work survey showed strong results, with a 78% trust index, and Hydroscand continued to promote equality, safety, and professional growth across all regions.

  • Customer and supplier collaboration: Sustainability is increasingly embedded in customer offerings and supply chain management, with mandatory sustainability training for purchasers and enhanced use of the Kodiak Hub supplier management platform.

Hydroscand’s Sustainability Manager, Malin Clarstedt, summarizes the ambition:

“We see sustainability as a foundation for growth and resilience — not only for Hydroscand, but for the communities and industries we serve.”
