Our commitment to sustainable development

At Hydroscand, sustainability is not an add-on – it is a natural part of how we do business. As a family-owned international company, we are committed to creating long-term value by combining responsible business practices with continued growth.

Our sustainability work is closely integrated into our strategy, operations and decision-making. We align our efforts with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and focus on the areas where we can make the greatest impact through our business, our people and our value chain.

Our sustainability strategy is built around three pillars:
  • People and Culture – creating a safe, inclusive and empowering workplace
  • Responsible Supply Chain – strengthening transparency, traceability and responsibility across our supplier base
  • Governance and Ethics – ensuring strong leadership, ethical business practices and clear accountability
Together, these areas shape how we turn sustainability ambitions into practical action across the Group.

Reporting, transparency and progress

Hydroscand’s sustainability reporting continues to develop in line with increasing stakeholder expectations and regulatory requirements. During 2025, we further strengthened our governance, reporting structure and data quality, with a continued focus on transparency and measurable progress.

In 2025, we:
  • continued to align our reporting and governance with CSRD and our double materiality perspective
  • improved the quality of our climate reporting by increasing the share of activity-based data across Scopes 1, 2 and 3
  • submitted our science-based targets at the end of 2025, using 2024 as the baseline year
  • were awarded an EcoVadis Silver Medal, placing Hydroscand among the top 15% of rated companies, with a clear ambition to reach Gold level in 2026
  • strengthened our group-wide work within health, safety and environmental management, including implementation of global tools and processes

How we work with sustainability

Sustainability is embedded in Hydroscand’s group-level strategy, governance and annual business planning. ESG is integrated into the overall budget process, led by dedicated group functions, and followed up regularly in Group Management. This creates a stronger foundation for long-term value creation and more informed decision-making across the business.

We continuously evaluate and improve our work using structured processes, clear KPIs and external platforms such as EcoVadis and Kodiak Hub. Collaboration with customers, employees and suppliers is essential to how we drive progress and strengthen resilience across our operations and value chain.

Our priorities include:
  • reducing our climate footprint, with particular focus on Scope 3 emissions
  • strengthening responsible sourcing and supplier engagement
  • promoting employee well-being, inclusion and safer workplaces
  • improving data quality, traceability and transparency in sustainability reporting
  • ensuring ethical conduct, compliance and information security throughout the organization
Sustainability at Hydroscand is a journey of continuous improvement – and a shared effort across our business and value chain.
